As sorrow takes over the entire nation following the death of the Delhi gang-rape victim, actress Shriya expressed her grief over the tragic incident and recollected a similar incident. While she was doing her college in Delhi, she had supposedly fought against a man, who was chasing an unclothed woman.She was surprised that no man came for the poor lady’s help until Shriya herself stepped in. Later, few locals took the girl away from the man.
In a statement, Shriya said that even today the situation is the same as it was many years ago and hopes that the country becomes a safer place for the women to live in.
