Anushka has been among the heroines who have dared to do something different in their movies. Her roles in movies like Arundhati, Deiva Thirumagal and Thaandavam are cases in point. But, she hasn’t bagged many awards till now and that seems to have caused her some concern. She has decided to do something about this to change the scenario.For the upcoming Irandam Ulagam, in which she is said to have challenging double roles, Anushka is taking Tamil lessons so that she can dub in her own voice for the first time. We are sure of her performance caliber and now with her own voice backing her performance, we are confident that awards committees would be taking much more notice of her acting chops.
Selvaraghavan directs this film which is also being made in Telugu. Arya is the male lead and the movie is expected to be out sometime in 2013.
