Pizza Director Plans For Another Thriller

The director of Pizza, Karthik Subbaraj, was among the noted newsmakers of 2012 thanks to his path breaking debut movie. Made on a shoestring budget, Pizza went on to become a hugely appreciated movie thanks to its unique blend of thrills and spills. The twist towards the end was also much discussed. The remake rights of Pizza in all the other languages were much in demand too.

Now the director is looking to make his next along the lines of Vijayakanth’s Oomai Vizhigal. This 1986 thriller was successful at the box-office and also earned rave reviews. Arun Pandian and Karthik also played key roles in this movie.

With the Pizza director eyeing another suspenseful project, looks like audiences are in for a thrill ride yet again.

Anushka with SS Rajamouli and Prabhas

Anushka is eagerly waiting for the release of Alex Pandian on January 12^th. She pairs opposite Karthi in this masala entertainer. Her other movies in 2013 include Singam 2 opposite Suriya and Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam, which is expected to be a fantasy entertainer in a period setting.

In Telugu, she is next looking to start shooting for two period flicks – one about Rani Rudrama Devi and the other with SS Rajamouli and Prabhas.

SS Rajamouli is almost certain to work with Anushka on this period film with Prabhas and an official statement is awaited. Anushka has already been a part of the mighty successful period film, Arundhati, and her tryst with such films is set to continue.

Amala Paul as police inspector in Vijays Film

Amala Paul is busy with the schedule of Vijay-AL Vijay film. Sources say that in the film, Amala Paul plays the character of a police inspector. Amala Paul has put on some weight to fit into the character and people who have seen her in the “khaki” costume say that she has acted convincingly. Apparently, Amala swings the lathi in style when she walks and people on the sets are said to have been happy with her portrayal. Well, did the training come from her mother, who was with the Police department?

Arya, Hansika's Settai Release Date Plan

UTV is always known for its good planning which is very rare in Kollywood. Yesterday UTV southern head Dhananjayang has tweeted Settai’s release plan with the exclusive design with “90 days to release tag” which means Settai will release on April 5th. Settai is a remake of Delhi belly which was a huge hit in Bollywood. Settai having Arya, Santhanam, Premgi, Anjali and Hansika in the lead. The film is directed by Kannan of Jeyam Kondan fame and music by Thaman S.

Jiiva Working Hard For David To Attract Bollywood Market

Jiiva is quite excited about his bilingual with Bejoy Nambiar, David. The film has been taken in different ways in both languages to suit the taste of the audience in that state. Jiiva whose recent films have not been doing great, has great expectations on the film and he has been thinking of David as a perfect launch pad to Bollywood. Sources say that he is looking forward to the film and if it hits the right chord, he might do Hindi films now and then. Super star’s Kochadaiyaan Release Date News

If one film which is having a sky rocketting expectation among distributors ,theater owners and movie fans in Kollywood then it is Super star’s Kochadaiyaan. Earlier the film was touted to be a Pongal release but due to the immense work in post production and CG it was postponed , now we hear that both EROS international and Media one global entertainment decided to release it in the month of April and to be more specific on April 5th. So obviously the other big releases will get postponed says the sources. The box office Badshah is all set to aririve in the month of April, get ready folks!

Always there is a problem for title for Vijay’s movie lastly; kavalan has been changed from Kavalkaran now they fixed for this movie as Thanga Magan but there is already film in this name acted by Super Star, now A L Vijay and vijay are gathering for a good title for this movie. Let’s hope they will get good tile for this movie, Thalapathy Vijay and Amala paul will rock with that title in this movie.

Shruti Haasan recently emphasized quite strongly that she does not believe in the concept of arranged marriages. She said that she will undoubtedly have a love marriage but at the moment she doesn’t have the time to devote herself to any sort of romance.

On the other hand, her father Kamal Haasan was reported in the media saying that he regretted being married at all. Looking back at his divorces, Kamal said that he never subscribed to the institution of marriage and he only obliged himself into it to please his partners then.
