Top 10 Worst Over All Mixed Movies of 2012

From my Top 10 Best Movies of 2012, here comes my Top 10 Worst Movies of 2012:

10. JOHN CARTER

With a lavish budget of $250 million, JOHN CARTER looks set to be one of the most spectacular sci-fi epics of the year. Why not, since this movie is directed by Andrew Stanton (in his first live-action feature after directing three Pixar's animated classics, A BUG'S LIFE, FINDING NEMO and WALL-E). I mean, what could possibly go wrong? Well, a lot. The story is heavy-handed, the fantastical sci-fi element feels seriously deja vu, the action is lackluster and worst of all, Taylor Kitsch is totally bland to make him iconic enough as the titular character.

9. JACK REACHER

The marketing people does a great job convinced me that I'm on a rollercoaster ride of a muscular, yet refreshingly low-tech crime thriller with Tom Cruise playing bad-ass character! But it turns out to be that JACK REACHER is nothing than a clunky, wannabe thriller tries so hard to be cool and serious. Tom Cruise is fatally miscast here, while Christopher McQuarrie's direction is terribly haphazard. Frankly, the whole movie is so draggy I almost dozed off a couple of times.

8. TAKEN 2

The sequel that shouldn't be existed at the first place. But yet, TAKEN 2 managed to make a lot of money at the box office. But whatever it is, this sequel is an absolutely lazy rehash from the first movie. The action is badly framed with annoying shaky-cam, coupled with haphazard editing all over the place. Liam Neeson looks tired here, and director Olivier Megaton made this sequel so awfully generic and bland it should have been belong in a direct-to-video market instead.

7. THE POSSESSION

Despite this would-be shocker is produced by none others than Sam Raimi, THE POSSESSION is a shockingly dull horror picture all around. Ole Bornedal's direction is terribly pedestrian, while all the scary parts are always abruptly cut off in favor for the next scene. Just about everything here is dreadfully formulaic.

6. TAI CHI ZERO

An old-fashioned martial-art genre with a steampunk twist? Why not? Once in a while, it's good to see an oft-seen genre is given a new lease of life. But for all the fancy bag of tricks actor-director Stephen Fung tries so hard to pull off here, TAI CHI ZERO is surprisingly uninvolving. The story is a bloated mess and the pace is awfully sluggish to get to the point. Newcomer Jayden Yuan is terribly wooden as the lead role.

5. TAI CHI HERO

What can I say? It's the same old mistake Stephen Fung has made in TAI CHI ZERO. Sure, this sequel is considerably restrained in term of its visual excesses but it's still a painfully boring picture that tries too hard to be hip, funny and entertaining altogether.

4. LINCOLN

Steven Spielberg's passion project is certainly greeted with such universal acclaim amongst critics and it's surprisingly a box office success in US so far. Daniel Day-Lewis is a spot-on as the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln but his acting performance is hampered by terribly clunky script. Spielberg has certainly made a big mistake for stripping his would-be remarkable epic to a bare-bone of a stage-like production. And he is definitely out of his element here. LINCOLN is too talky for its own good, and its enormous 150 minutes is really tough to sit through. (Full review coming soon!)

3. NIGHTFALL

This wannabe thriller has Nick Cheung and Simon Yam, but director Roy Chow has wasted their talents with his terribly dull movie filled with absurd plot, snail pace, and lots of talky expositions. And that climactic third-act... you just have to see it for yourself how Roy Chow ends his movie in such a convoluted manner.

2. SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

An oft-told Snow White fairy tale gets a revisionist makeover, and that is something interesting I really looked forward to. But after watching the movie, imagine how disappointed I am to find out that SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is such a complete disaster. First-time feature director Rupert Sanders has no sense of pacing and everything here looks lifeless. All the cast are seriously undermined, and it's really hard to swallow that the always-glum Kristen Stewart plays the "fairer" kind.

1. COSMOPOLIS

Oh, here goes... COSMOPOLIS! It's hard to believe that David Cronenberg can do so much worse in his directing career. He's clearly out of his element here directing this weird, but painfully boring movie that relies a lot of dialogue rather than his usual captivating visual flair. He looks hopelessly lost trying to make a talky movie (just like he did before in A DANGEROUS METHOD). Robert Pattinson is seriously dull in the lead role here, and so do everyone else involved here. This is a monumental waste of time.

Top 10 Bollywood Movie of 2012 - New Cine Buzz

Action, drama, comedy or romance - you name it and Bollywood had it this year. Be it small-budget content-driven films or typical potboilers, the industry saw a great mix of movies throughout 2012.
New Cine Buzz (NCB) picks the best of the lot that rocked the box office:
Ek Tha Tiger: The very fact that former real-life couple Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were the lead pair for this film was enough to draw audiences to the theatres. Its songs, picturisation and power-packed action kept the cash registers ringing, and helping this film garner approximately Rs190 crore. Salman played an Indian spy named Tiger, who falls head over heels in love with a female spy from Pakistan, essayed by Katrina. Their chemistry, of course, worked.
Rowdy Rathore: The return of 'khiladi' Akshay Kumar - that's what this film was awaited for. Akshay's action, mixed with Prabhudheva's distinct taste of dance and exaggerated jumps, gave Hindi movie buffs a perfect masala affair. The Bollywood remake of Telugu movie "Vikramarkudu", it also stared Sonakshi Sinha. The movie earned Rs140 crore.
Agneepath: A remake yet again. The success ratio of remakes of past hits has been low, but"Agneepath" was a dream debut for Karan Malhotra. He added a contemporary touch to the eponymous 1990 movie. With Hrithik Roshan reprising the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan and Sanjay Dutt playing the villain Kaancha Cheena, "Agneepath" turned out to be 2012's first blockbuster and managed to mint around Rs120 crore.
Housefull 2: One would hardly think of enjoying a movie with 12 known actors playing key roles. But this one managed to entertain viewers. A sequel to hit 2010 movie Housefull, this Sajid Khan film, with its classic comic sequences, but slightly crowded cast, made over Rs110 crore at the box office.
Barfi!: The simple story line, sensitive treatment and excellent performances helped Anurag Basu's Barfi! establish an emotional connect with the audience. The love story of a deaf and mute boy, played deftly by Ranbir Kapoor, with an autistic girl, essayed by National award-winning actress Priyanka Chopra, left many teary eyed. India's official entry for the foreign film category Oscar this year, the movie, which is now out of the Oscar race, made collections of Rs110 crore.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan: Love was redefined in typical Yash Chopra way with Jab Tak Hai Jaan. The late filmmaker, who bid adieu to the world just a few days before the movie's release, gave his final work with the king of romance Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The movie, also featuring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma, captured the scenic beauty of London and Kashmir very well - garnering collections of over Rs120 crore.
Bol Bachchan: It was hard to think of a modern day version of the 1979 comedy Gol Maal. But Rohit Shetty made it happen - and how! This Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn-starrer turned out to be truly paisa vasool. Ajay's one-liner English dialogues and Abhishek's double dhamaal paved the way for crossing the Rs100-crore mark for this film.
Son Of Sardaar: Remember Ajay Devgn and his Phool Aur Kaante stunt on two bikes? He took it to the next level by riding together on two horses in Son of Sardaar. A turban-clad Ajay managed to tickle the viewers' funny bone, along with Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha, and helped this movie make around Rs105 crore.
Talaash: Aamir Khan's Midas touch rarely fails. Talaash was just another case in point. This suspense thriller by Reema Kagti narrated the story of a Mumbai cop trying to put a puzzle in place and it kept the audience on the edges of their seats. The film, also starring Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji, made around Rs90 crore at the Indian box office.
OMG: Oh My God!: Comedy, sadness, anger and greed. Paresh Rawal carried out all emotions in one character flawlessly. Akshay Kumar played god in the Umesh Shukla-directorial, which questioned the existence of god. Complete with humour and a message, the movie minted over Rs.70 crore at the box office.

Top 10 Hot (A Grade Movies) Movie of 2012 a Look

1.Jism -2

Undoubtedly Jism - 2 was one of the most awaited cine flick of 2012 for some very obvious reasons. Unleashing of the buzz about porn-star Sunny Leone being its leading lady further added on to the eagerness of cine buffs.

Though on entertainment front Jism - 2 failed miserably, but inspite of that with Sunny, Randeep, and Arunoday in the main cast it offered a thorough carnal delight to the cine fans.

2.Ishaqzaade
With in no time of Ishaqzaade's release cine buffs and movie critics started seeing Parineeti and Arjun as the superstars of future, all thanks to their marvelous onscreen chemistry.

But besides it another gaze grabbing sight of the film was steamy love making scene picturised on the duo, which thoroughly added on to the charm of the onscreen proceedings.

3. Hate Story
Another much talked about erotic cine cantata which thoroughly stirred the grapevine in 2012 was the debut flick of Bangla Bombshell Paoli Dam.

Soon after its poster release Hate Story started grabbing the attention of the masses, but the fire further got fueled when its first promo made it to small screen. With tons of provocative content and erotica picturised on Paoli, this otherwise below average erotic saga managed to do a decent business at BO

4.Heroine

Much before the release of Heroine the sensual cozy scene picturised on Arjun Rampal and Kareena started making it to the head lines of the tabloids. But unfortunately, neither the hype about Kareena's bedroom scene nor the scene itself could do any miracle for this sinking cine cantata.

5.Blood Money

For some it could be a coincidence, where as others may call it a strategy, whatever it would have been, but one thing which can't be denied is that the hot love making scene between Kunal Khemu and Mia which leaked on the Internet just before the release of cine flick Blood Money fetched an amazing publicity for the movie. And it's just because of the apprehension among the masses about the sultry coefficient of the movie which made it a decent BO grosser.

6.Raaz -3

As compared to its prequel, Raaz - 3 somewhat failed in jolting the audience with its horror and thrill coefficient, but as far as its sultry quotient is concerned then oomph of Bips and newbie Esha and their steamy love making sequences with serial kisser Emraan firmly provided movie with a positive impetus.

7.Shanghai

After seeing the promos no one would have ever imagined, that in Shanghai they will get an opportunity to have a glimpse of a bold Kalki, whose smoochilious moments with co-star Prosanjit came in as a surprise for cine enthusiasts.

And undoubtedly this scene added spice to the engaging plot of the film.

8.Jannat 2
With Jannat -2, it was once again the most loved child of god Emraan, who was blessed with an opportunity to get cozy 'on celluloid' with fantabulous beauty Esha. Song Tujhe sochta hoon showcasing coochi-cooing Emraan and Esha, turned into an instant hit because of its scorching hot onscreen offerings.

Infact it won't be wrong to say that the bold scenes between Emraan and Esha were extremely hot and saved the film upto a great extent.

9.1920 Evil Returns

When 1920 Evil Returns was released fans had huge expectations from the film and uptill an extent movie fared well on BO too.

But despite having an attention grabbing script makers of 1920 Evil Returns didn't take any risk and in order to make fans eye balls rove they included few hot love making scenes between Aftab and Tia which acted as icing over the cake.

10.Panch Ghantey Mein Panch Crore
Prurience and sensuality are no longer the fiefdom of big budget cine tales and this has been proved by recently released cine tale Panch Ghantey Mein Panch Crore, starring Pakistani hottie Meera. Paanch Ghantey Mein Paanch Crore will always be remembered for its bold content.

Despite being a medium budget film, movie had a gripping story, with multiple love making scenes to keep audiences hooked to the film.
