Top 10 Worst Over All Mixed Movies of 2012

From my Top 10 Best Movies of 2012, here comes my Top 10 Worst Movies of 2012:

10. JOHN CARTER

With a lavish budget of $250 million, JOHN CARTER looks set to be one of the most spectacular sci-fi epics of the year. Why not, since this movie is directed by Andrew Stanton (in his first live-action feature after directing three Pixar's animated classics, A BUG'S LIFE, FINDING NEMO and WALL-E). I mean, what could possibly go wrong? Well, a lot. The story is heavy-handed, the fantastical sci-fi element feels seriously deja vu, the action is lackluster and worst of all, Taylor Kitsch is totally bland to make him iconic enough as the titular character.

9. JACK REACHER

The marketing people does a great job convinced me that I'm on a rollercoaster ride of a muscular, yet refreshingly low-tech crime thriller with Tom Cruise playing bad-ass character! But it turns out to be that JACK REACHER is nothing than a clunky, wannabe thriller tries so hard to be cool and serious. Tom Cruise is fatally miscast here, while Christopher McQuarrie's direction is terribly haphazard. Frankly, the whole movie is so draggy I almost dozed off a couple of times.

8. TAKEN 2

The sequel that shouldn't be existed at the first place. But yet, TAKEN 2 managed to make a lot of money at the box office. But whatever it is, this sequel is an absolutely lazy rehash from the first movie. The action is badly framed with annoying shaky-cam, coupled with haphazard editing all over the place. Liam Neeson looks tired here, and director Olivier Megaton made this sequel so awfully generic and bland it should have been belong in a direct-to-video market instead.

7. THE POSSESSION

Despite this would-be shocker is produced by none others than Sam Raimi, THE POSSESSION is a shockingly dull horror picture all around. Ole Bornedal's direction is terribly pedestrian, while all the scary parts are always abruptly cut off in favor for the next scene. Just about everything here is dreadfully formulaic.

6. TAI CHI ZERO

An old-fashioned martial-art genre with a steampunk twist? Why not? Once in a while, it's good to see an oft-seen genre is given a new lease of life. But for all the fancy bag of tricks actor-director Stephen Fung tries so hard to pull off here, TAI CHI ZERO is surprisingly uninvolving. The story is a bloated mess and the pace is awfully sluggish to get to the point. Newcomer Jayden Yuan is terribly wooden as the lead role.

5. TAI CHI HERO

What can I say? It's the same old mistake Stephen Fung has made in TAI CHI ZERO. Sure, this sequel is considerably restrained in term of its visual excesses but it's still a painfully boring picture that tries too hard to be hip, funny and entertaining altogether.

4. LINCOLN

Steven Spielberg's passion project is certainly greeted with such universal acclaim amongst critics and it's surprisingly a box office success in US so far. Daniel Day-Lewis is a spot-on as the 16th President of the United States of America, Abraham Lincoln but his acting performance is hampered by terribly clunky script. Spielberg has certainly made a big mistake for stripping his would-be remarkable epic to a bare-bone of a stage-like production. And he is definitely out of his element here. LINCOLN is too talky for its own good, and its enormous 150 minutes is really tough to sit through. (Full review coming soon!)

3. NIGHTFALL

This wannabe thriller has Nick Cheung and Simon Yam, but director Roy Chow has wasted their talents with his terribly dull movie filled with absurd plot, snail pace, and lots of talky expositions. And that climactic third-act... you just have to see it for yourself how Roy Chow ends his movie in such a convoluted manner.

2. SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN

An oft-told Snow White fairy tale gets a revisionist makeover, and that is something interesting I really looked forward to. But after watching the movie, imagine how disappointed I am to find out that SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is such a complete disaster. First-time feature director Rupert Sanders has no sense of pacing and everything here looks lifeless. All the cast are seriously undermined, and it's really hard to swallow that the always-glum Kristen Stewart plays the "fairer" kind.

1. COSMOPOLIS

Oh, here goes... COSMOPOLIS! It's hard to believe that David Cronenberg can do so much worse in his directing career. He's clearly out of his element here directing this weird, but painfully boring movie that relies a lot of dialogue rather than his usual captivating visual flair. He looks hopelessly lost trying to make a talky movie (just like he did before in A DANGEROUS METHOD). Robert Pattinson is seriously dull in the lead role here, and so do everyone else involved here. This is a monumental waste of time.

Actress Nagma aiming For Rajya Shaba From Maharastra

Actress Nagma who once ruled the roost in the Film Industry is now in the race for Rajya Sabha seat from Maharashtra as Congress candidate. With union minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh's demise few months back due to multiple-organ faiure, a seat in the upper house has fell vacant and an election for accommodation would be held on January 12. Few senior party leaders were lobbying for Nagma by trying to convince the High Command that if she was nominated to Rajya Sabha in place of Vilas Rao, then her services could be used for election campaigning all over country as she is a charismatic actress. On the other hand, Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chauhan is making moves to send his close aide Rohitdas Patil to Rajya Sabha and some of the leaders were recommending Vilas Rao's wife Vaisalini to the post. Although Nagma was denied Congress Lok Sabha ticket from Mumbai in 2009, she campaigned for the party in few places. Congress which is known for giving prominence to loyal party supporters is likely to induct the actress into house this time.

Shruti Haasan is currently for three big projects in Telugu

Actresses usually prefer to sign a film based on the merit of the role offered to them or if it has a bankable star playing lead, but Shruti Haasan is different. The actress who does everything with a lot of conviction takes a final call based on the entire script, not just her role or any other factors. She is the one who strongly believes that if the story is strong enough then everything including the roles shapes up well and the work of the actors will be recognized. "I always ask the directors to narrate the story rather than just my role or the details of star cast. What would be the fate of the time, if just my role is good?," questions the beauty. Shruti Haasan is currently working for three big projects (Ram Charan's Yevadu, Raviteja's Balupu, Prabhudeva's Hindi flick Ramayya Vastavayya). While the Bollywood film neared completion, the two other films were in the half-way of shoot. Although she tasted successive failures in the beginning of her career, Shruti never lost faith in her and always followed her heart to reach the position she is enjoying Today.

Babies Names of Hollywood Celebs 2012

Kids are vicious, especially when it comes to taunting fellow classmates who happen to have unique names. Parents may have thought they were selecting a creative name for their child in choosing Apple over Ashley or Knox over Kevin, but, unfortunately, other kids view originality as mean nickname potential.

Leave it to Hollywood to traumatize their kids in such a way; stars are the biggest perpetrators of naming their children something "different." And in 2012, celebrity moms and dads succeeded in coming up with some very weird names for their newborns. Good luck in school kids, you're going to need it.

1. Solo Uniacke: Die Another Day Bond girl Rosamund Pike's son, born May 6, is her first child. Could that be why she and her boyfriend, Robie Uniacke, decided to highlight their son's singularity with his name?

2. Breeze Beretta – Bristol Palin's ex Levi Johnston decided to name his daughter, born Sept. 12, after an Italian gun manufacturer. Breeze is Levi's second child — he has son Tripp with Bristol — and first with now-wife Sunny Oglesby.

3. Jedediah Lindsay Bowles: MasterChef judge Graham Elliot and his wife Allie went old school — reallyold school, like Old Testament school — when choosing a name for their son, born Aug. 25. Jedediah is a Hebrew name that means "friend of God." Elliot told People of choosing a name for his son, "Allie's dad's name is Jed and my dad's middle name is Lindsay. The names Jed and [Lindsay] don't get used often, and they're part of our family history, so why not embrace that?"

4. Kline Olivia: While it's a popular trend to give little girls names that traditionally go to boys — Jessica Simpson named her daughter Maxwell — Eli Young Band frontman Mike Eli and his wife Kacey seemed to have started their own trend. When they welcomed the birth of their daughter on July 30, they decided to go with a name that sounds more like a last name than a first.

5. Maple Sylvia Bateman: This is as sweet as it gets for Horrible Bosses star Jason Bateman and his wife Amanda Anka. While their first daughter scored the name Francesca, they decided to go with something a little more tasty when their second daughter was born on Feb. 10. Now all they have to do is drop the "lvia" from Maple's middle name and replace it with "rup." (Get it?)

6. Exton Elias Downey: Robert Downey Jr. and wife Susan's new son, born on Feb. 7, sounds like he belongs in the English court. Maybe Kate Middleton can borrow the name if she has a baby boy.

7. Clover Clementyne: Natasha Gregson Wagner and Barry Watson must have been munching on a piece of delicious, citrus fruit when they came up with the name for their daughter. Clover Clementyne was born on May 30.

8. Romy Hero Johnson: Sam Taylor-Wood and her husband Aaron Johnson have great expectations for their daughter, who was born in January. Move out of the way Wonder Woman and Black Widow, and make room for Romy Hero.

9. Blue Ivy Carter: Have you ever heard of someone being named Blue Ivy? We mean before Beyonce andJay-Z's daughter was born on Jan. 7. We didn't think so.

10. Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-BussonUma Thurman's daughter, who was born in July, sure is going to have a tough time remembering her own name. It's more than a mouthful.

11. Lion O'Loughlin: Roar. This little cub, born in October, is the son of Alex O’Loughlin and Malia Jones.
